Mamachel See Boops deh :-)

Hey Peeps!!!

Its Mamachel once again!!! Thanks for all the comments on "strangest vibrations" I hoped to hear more from the male point of view but such is life.
This week while online a friend and I were engaged in a Msn conversation (see below). His question brought back memories....

Scene: New Kingston

Date: July 2006

I stand outside a very famous establishment waiting with bated breathe for my "blind date" to alight from his car (german made well criss with the ris and stuff). As I stood there I envisioned a handsome guy dress to the nines. Bwaay was I wrong. People, when i say wrong I mean 50 degrees to the left wrong. The guy looked like Pumba from the Lion King (not cute) dressed to the nines alright in some FUBU Gear. Being the brave chica that I am I swallowed my fear and decided to see whats on the inside plus I was hungry (why waste a dress). Fast Forward to the end of the night and this story ends with me excusing myself to the bathroom and never returning. When I called my friend that set us up to ask her WHY??!!!!!. The response I got was "my girl him have crazzzyy money, just shut yuh eye." No, No, No, that ugliness penetrate any eyelid. Safe to say Pumba never heard from me again.

Back to the present questions at hand. Is money everything? Or should we give these guys a break I mean some would say that all they did was find a way to live with the ugliness. And the women are not completely without blame. Are these women users? I personally think that sometimes a person's personality outshines any physical faults and some of these women genuinely like these men, its the ones in the FUBU gear that scare me. (joking) I would love to hear your opinion.

Curious says:

So i see this as the true reflection of what is taking place today, however one can play the game in your favour to have the roles reversed, its just that the task is daunting usually. But on the other hand you can find ladies who are of such beauty and stature that the "educated" guys feel intimidated to approach them, and so they turn to the guy that really has nothing to lose really. These guys will try and get through. So it is to grow a backbone and try...even if you get shot down. But hey what do I know....I'm just one a dem "educated" ambitious dudes out dere....

Well, I read the blog and the comments that were left and felt compelled to respond cause, it is all too true. One thing you must remember is that we live in a materialistic world today and it does not take an "educated" man to figure that out. In the Jamaican community money means a lot. We may not agree but it’s the facts. So hence the ugly "fubu" wearing man finds a way to surround himself with things. We must not make the mistake a envy them because “a fool and his money are soon departed”. The educated man needs to find a way to get these things too and be one step ahead of the game.

As for the females, it is not all their fault. They are caught up in the system. Many of these girls that you see in these ugly or rich man cars are there because they are looking a way out poverty. Out of their parents house. They want to shine on the girls that used to diss them up him high school. Many of these girls only have their looks going for them and they are using it to the best of their ability. Also some of these girls parents encourage this type of behavior.

So my advice to the men is go out a get yours. Once you do, start the play the game too. Weed out the bad ones find a good one and settle down and marry her. Trust me once you are educated, have some money in your pocket, and well put together they will find you. My advice to the women would be to open your eyes look at the complete package. That “bruk pocket boy” that you pass in traffic in his old car today might be a millionaire tomorrow.

The more things change, the more they stay the same. Women have been going after men with wealth &/ power since the beginning of time. Meanwhile, men have been running down attractive women for just as long. This always *seems* to leave the average guy/gal on the sideline moaning about the stupidity of it all...

The truth is you just have to take care of yourself, and approach the person you're attracted to with confidence. Some want looks, some want money, some want personality in their potential mate (some even all 3) -- more power to them I say as long as they're happy with their choice.

However, I will *still* be making fun of the gold-diggers with their ugly ass boyfriends/husbands! ;-)

The reality is that every woman wants/needs to be satisfied somehow. Whether Money, great sex or popularity. Women need men who respects them not because of how they look but who they are. unfortunately, most men are too self centered. As a result, some women choose to find some gratification in the process of finding a man. I don't blame girls who use guys who are self centered... I blame girls who use guys who generally love them. That's my take on it.
